Cookie policy

This page explains which cookies www.zapatoideal.com uses, who sets them, what they are for and how long they last. It is published in accordance with Article 22.2 of Spanish Act 34/2002 (LSSI) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), following the guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit. It is used to remember things: what you put in your basket, which language you are browsing in, or whether you are already signed in. Some are set by us and others by third parties, such as Google. Alongside cookies we also use equivalent technologies, such as the browser's local storage, and everything in this policy applies to them too.

2. Who is responsible

Herederos de José Aguilera Moreno S.L., Tax ID B53338844, Calle Almansa 65 (Nave 3), 03206 Elche, Alicante, Spain. Email: info@zapatoideal.com. Details of how we process your data are in our privacy policy.

3. Types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary (technical). They make the shop work: keeping your session, storing the basket, remembering the language and saving your cookie choice. Without them the site does not work, so they do not require your permission.
  • Analytics. They tell us how many people visit, where they browse and which pages fail, so we can improve the shop. They are only set if you accept them.
  • Advertising. They let us measure how well our ads work and show you our products on other websites. They are only set if you accept them.

Mailchimp: the site loads a Mailchimp script (chimpstatic.com) for the newsletter. Checked on 27 August 2026: it does not set any cookie in your browser.

5. How to accept, reject or change your mind

The first time you visit, we show you a notice where you can accept all cookies, reject them all or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and if you choose nothing only the technical cookies are set.

You can change your decision at any time from the "Your cookie settings" link in the footer.

6. How to delete or block cookies in your browser

Besides the notice on the site, your browser lets you allow, block or delete cookies that are already stored:

Please note that if you block all cookies, including the technical ones, the basket and the checkout will stop working.

7. International transfers

Google and Mailchimp are United States companies and may process the data collected through cookies outside the European Economic Area.

Google LLC and Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, part of Intuit) are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and both also maintain the European Commission's standard contractual clauses as a fallback safeguard.
